Senior accountant - foreign capital logistics company

A foreign capital logistics company with office in Chisinau is seeking a Senior Accountant who will have strong accounting knowledge and operational experience and be able to work on financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis. This role will be integral to the accounting and finance team, and this team is seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on individual.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; and resolving discrepancies
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to HQ
- Summarizes financial status' by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
- Produce payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks
- Verifying and arrange proper documentation handling within company
- Complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
- Secure financial information by completing database backups
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required to prepare process documentation, summarize recommendations for review by various levels of accounting management, and resolve various vendor
- Working closely with major clients
- Working closely with the Partners in the practice

Qualifications:
- min. 5 years of Accounting experience
- Strong computer skills in both legacy mainframe and PC applications
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and 1C Accounting
- Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Public Accounting experience preferred

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or higher in Accounting
